1. About PlantFair

PlantFair is an online plant catalogue and directory of independent nurseries, helping gardeners discover plants and the nurseries that grow and sell them.

PlantFair is operated by Hortura Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 12962506.

At present, PlantFair does not sell plants, process orders or arrange deliveries through its website.

2. Plant and nursery information

We aim to provide accurate and useful information about plants and participating nurseries.

Information may be supplied by nurseries or compiled by PlantFair. Although reasonable care is taken, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, accurate or up to date.

Plant descriptions and growing advice are provided for general guidance. Actual plant characteristics and performance may vary according to growing conditions.

3. Plant availability and purchases

Information about plants normally sold by participating nurseries is indicative and does not represent current stock availability.

Visitors should contact nurseries directly to confirm availability, prices and purchasing arrangements.

Any purchases made directly from a nursery are between the customer and that nursery. PlantFair is not a party to those transactions.

4. Nursery participation

Nurseries are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate to the best of their knowledge and for updating it when circumstances change.

PlantFair reserves the right to review, edit, decline, hide or remove nursery profiles, plant information or other content where reasonably necessary to maintain the quality, accuracy and integrity of the website.

Participation in the nursery directory service is free of charge. Adding plant records to PlantFair's shared plant catalogue is also free of charge.

PlantFair reserves the right to introduce charges for nurseries to link their profiles to plants they stock, thereby displaying their plant ranges to visitors. Any charges, including any membership or subscription fees, will be communicated in advance and will not apply without the nursery's agreement.

Nurseries may request removal of their public profiles at any time.

5. Photographs and other content

Nurseries retain copyright in the photographs and other original material they contribute to PlantFair.

By uploading content, a nursery confirms that it has the necessary rights to do so and grants PlantFair a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, adapt, resize, display and use that content in connection with operating and promoting PlantFair.

This licence continues if the nursery subsequently ceases to participate.

Plant records form part of PlantFair's shared catalogue and may continue to be maintained and used by PlantFair and other participating nurseries.

Visitors may browse and use the website for personal research but may not reproduce or commercially exploit its content without permission from the relevant rights holder, except where permitted by law.

6. Use of the website

Visitors and participating nurseries must use PlantFair lawfully and must not interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorised access or systematically extract substantial amounts of its content without permission.

7. External websites

PlantFair may provide links to nursery websites and other external resources. We are not responsible for the content or operation of those websites.

8. Liability

We take reasonable care in operating PlantFair but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or the accuracy of all information displayed.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or affects statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with its date of revision.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections applicable to users elsewhere.
